Patricia Keller earned both her Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education and Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She has worked and taught professionally for over thirty years. A versatile artist, Keller works with a wide range of materials in her paintings including watercolor, gouache, pastels, oils, and acrylics. Most of her work is derived from her life-long love of wilderness landscape, and her recent work has focused upon interpreting the beauty to be found in the realm of medicinal herbs. The foundation of her work is in the use of vibrant color and energetic brushwork. Her method emphasizes color relationships, and the introduction of improbable color into her subjects. Her art has been exhibited in many one-person and group shows around the country in such places such as New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Colorado, California, and many places in Wisconsin. Patricia Keller's work is included in many private, public, and corporate collections, and she was the 1995 “Showcase” artist for WHA-TV Art and Antiques Auction. Patricia is a professional member of Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors, and she has served as curator for the University of Wisconsin, Madison's Steinhauer Trust Gallery.
